1.3 Research Questions on Oil Spills in Niger Delta
This research question will be used to back up the stastical analysis and data of oil spill incidents in Niger Delta thereby giving more insight on the weakness and responsibility of the federal government.

This was done by comparing the reported oil spill data between a stipulated period of time from the two parastatal and supported by the administration of questionnaires with questions related to the objective of the study, this was carried out through personal interview with the people in the community, and secondary source of data by reviews of related literatures like textbook’s, articles, scientific journals, and internet web. The questionnaires were formulated to answer the objectives of the study; the questionnaire’s was distributed in three States in the Niger Delta area, which are Delta, Edo and Rivers. A total number of 150 questionnaires were distributed among the Government officials, the non-governmental organizations (NGO´s), the researcher, the oil workers and the communities as whole. 110 responses were received from the
