This disease that is yet to be cured. Juvenile diabetes, also known as Type 1 diabetes is a disease that usually affects children and young adults. It happens when your pancreas produces little or no insulin, which is not good. A teen with Juvenile Diabetes is most likely will have some type of insulin pump on them at all times. When it comes to lunch if the teen has the insulin pump they have to type in the number of carbohydrates in their food that they are eating. Also they can’t have sugary items in their meal like candy. A teen with Juvenile Diabetes doesn’t usually look different, except that they have the insulin pump and sometimes will be really skinny. Also on occasion someone with juvenile diabetes will have mood swings. Other than that they look and act about the same as anyone else. It is a disease, but now that we know so much about it. Also, there is not just bad things about having juvenile diabetes, there are good things too. Most people become smarter, take on more responsibility and grow up
