Hunger is not the only serious problem in Africa, but also the other contributing factors like disease, the lack of education and unclean water. According to Jordanna Packtor, an online education specialist, “thirty-eight percent of the world’s refugees are located in Africa”. She goes on to say how “of the 738 million people globally without clean water, 37 percent are living in sub-Saharan Africa” (Packtor). Unfortunately, Africans live a dreadful lifestyle. However, aid can be provided in order to help them support their families. Africans procreate as much as they possibly can so at least one of their children can take care of their parents when they are older. But the likelihood of that happening is slim if they’re born into poverty.

So for example, a 17 year old kid in Africa most likely has the brain capacity and the height of about a 13 year old. This happens because they were not properly fed when they were younger. Within the article Why Does Hunger Still Exist in Africa? it states that “they were not starving, but they were not getting enough to eat, leaving them years behind in their development…” (Gates). So if they were lucky enough to go to school, they wouldn’t be able to learn as well as fully developed students. Every other kid has the right to determine their future but not in Africa, it’s pretty set and stone there. The biggest reason they can’t get fed by their own country is because “most African farmers are less productive than a US farmer was 100 years ago” (Renton). Renton goes on to say “the solution lies in education, good feeding techniques and getting the right nutrients to the mother and child from the beginning of pregnancy.” We can’t be the only ones trying to help; they have to help themselves too. One way to prevent this recurrence is to not have 15 children. However, if they do decide to, the parents need to ensure that the mother maintains a healthy diet during pregnancy and once the infant is born, she needs to uphold the nutrition of her child. Instead, create an educational system in Africa like America has, so the underprivileged children become educated and live a normal life. The reason the African farmers can’t make as much food as Americans is because they aren 't educated in how to produce plentiful amounts of food for their country. With this system, it can start saving lives by the thousands but they just need a little encouragement and they will be right with the rest of the world. We can stop hearing about another disease that has spread across Africa killing millions. Education is a necessity in order to be successful. A country that prospers like America needs to demonstrate how to improve other lifestyles with their influence.
