The Spread Of Global Warming

Greenhouse effect occurs when visible light from the sun is given to the earth, this visible light coming in passes through the atmospheric layers to warm up the earth. This warming of the planet is reflected back in longer wavelength known as infrared radiation. Although it is radiated back into space some of this radiation does not pass the atmosphere and is radiated back. This is a natural effect but as more greenhouse gasses are put out by humans through the burning of fossil fuels and clear cutting forest the higher the temperatures will rise in the future. This effect known as global warming mostly caused by human effects has experienced a major growth. Our actions are affecting ecosystems worldwide by emission of carbon dioxide and clear …show more content…
While computers used to predict future climate with human effects show a correct prediction of climate changes during the past half century (Cook 2016) This leads to the conclusion that natural changes have not been occurring rather our human effects have caused a drastic change on the climate. Scientists have also observed that the boundary between atmospheric layers has expanded. The boundary between the troposphere and the stratosphere has expanded due to heat trapping gasses (Carbon Dioxide) which build up in between these atmospheric layers. As these trap the heat that is destined to go out into space the atmospheric layer boundary expands as it heats up(UOC 2016) Another claim by many people is the fact that if global warming is truly occurring by human effects why are snow storms more violent. This is caused by the simple fact that water evaporates, evaporation in the ocean increases because of the hotter temperatures the condensed water moves through wind currents and we get heavy snowstorms occurring because of global …show more content…
By truly understanding effects of global warming humans can be more cautious. Taking caution of using electricity wisely, burning fuels which have been improved upon, and lower deforestation rates we can slow the process of global warming. Slowing the process of global warming not only saves ecosystems it save us from possible extinction. The concept of global warming and effects by humans should be understood by everyone. Misconceptions should be corrected so people do not fall into the common lie that global warming is not actually occurring. If we all understand this concept we can fight this devastating event together and save ecosystems world wide. Slowing the process of global warming is not easy although it is something that has to be done. One person can make the difference and together we can bring earth to a healthier stable habitat for all

One of the major problems facing our world today is global warming. “Global Warming is the increase of Earth 's average surface temperature due to effect of greenhouse gases, such as carbon dioxide emissions from burning fossil fuels or from deforestation, which trap heat that would otherwise escape from Earth” (“ What is Global…”, n.d.). There is a major difference between global warming and greenhouse gases. The greenhouse effect is a natural process in earth’s atmosphere that maintains the average surface temperature. It is caused by certain gases such as water vapor, ozone (O3), carbon dioxide (CO2), and methane (CH4), and traces of chloro-fluoro-carbons (CFC 's).…

When most people think of global warming, they think of just weather. Well I use to think global warming was just having to do with nature and the weather. By the end of this essay lets see what my view on global warming changes to. Well, global warming is an increase in the average temperature of the earths atmosphere, especially an increase great enough to make a change in the global climate. The rise of earths temperature is due to the increase in Carbon Dioxide (CO2).…

By increasing the concentration of greenhouse gases, we are making Earth's atmosphere a more efficient greenhouse. Climate has cooled and warmed all through the Earth history for different reasons. Fast warming like we see today is strange ever. A portion of the factors that affect climates, such as volcanic eruptions and changes in the amount of solar energy, is natural. The environment can change if there is a change in the amount of solar energy that gets to the Earth.…

The Earth cools down by giving off a different form of energy, called infrared radiation. But before all this radiation can escape to outer space, greenhouse gases in the atmosphere absorb some of it, which makes the atmosphere warmer. As the atmosphere gets warmer, it makes the Earth 's surface warmer, too ( Guide to Global Climate Change ). This is why the greenhouse effect is one of the biggest causes to global warming , it increases the earth 's temperature very quickly. Some gases that contribute to the greenhouse effect include water vapor (H2O) , Methane (CHu) , Nitroxide (N2O) and The biggest one Carbon Dioxide (CO2).…

Over the past century, global warming has become a major concern to environmentalist and people worldwide. The warming of Earth’s atmosphere and land have started to make itself present to many. In 2016, Earth’s global surface temperature is approximated to rise 1.3 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels (Le Page,1). Throughout the last century, it’s become evident to what has led to the increase in the warming of Earth. Much of the warming on Earth has been caused by the increased abundance of carbon in the atmosphere.…

Greenhouse gases are the main cause of global warming. Human beings have raised carbon dioxide in the atmosphere with their activities, such as deforestation, and burning fossil fuels. The other major causes of global warming is population growth, pollution, and industrialization. These changes are resulting rise in sea level, melting glaciers, damage of the ozone layer, unseasonable rains, and also increasing many other environmental problems. Impacts of global warming can be seen in countries like Australia and New Zealand.…

The reason why global warming occurs is, because of the rotation of the sun that continually changes the density of the sunlight. Another cause of global warming is greenhouse gases. Greenhouse gases are sulfur dioxide and carbon monoxide it trap the solar heat rays and prevent it from escaping from the surface of the earth. And according to (Lallanila, 2017) these greenhouse gases will make the earth's temperature increase. One more cause is volcanic eruption; for sure it will cause global warming.…

By definition, global warming is the unusually rapid increase in Earths average surface temperature over the past century primarily due to the greenhouse gasses released by people burning fossil fuels (3). In other words, carbon dioxide and other global warming pollutants are collection in the atmosphere like a thickening blanket, trapping the suns heat and causing the planet to heat up (7). All in all, global warming is one of the world’s most pressing problems (9). It cannot just be ignored. Human…

In the long run, Earth has warmed and cooled time and again since the period of dinosaurs. Climate has keep changing as the planet received more or less sunlight due to elusive shifts in the orbit. But in the past century, another force has started to influence Earth’s climate that is humanity. The terrifying process is named as Global Warming by scientist and considered as most threatening problem in today’s world. The term is used to describe an ongoing increase in the average temperature of the Earth 's atmosphere, the change is believed to be permanently changing the Earth’s climate (Global Warming/LiveScience).…

This is due to carbon dioxide causing the Earth 's average air temperature to increase and higher temperatures cause particles in the Earth 's atmosphere to move more. This movement creates more energy in the atmosphere and causes air and water to move around the planet, the greater the amount of energy in Earth’s atmosphere, the more severe the weather. This can cause weather like slight breezes, hurricanes, and tornados (cotf.edu). In conclusion, the amount of carbon humans deposit into the environment causes weather pattern changes. The more humans ruin the environment, the more problems the atmosphere will…
