The Effects Of Greenhouse Effect On Global Warming

Greenhouse effect occurs when visible light from the sun is given to the earth, this visible light coming in passes through the atmospheric layers to warm up the earth. This warming of the planet is reflected back in longer wavelength known as infrared radiation. Although it is radiated back into space some of this radiation does not pass the atmosphere and is radiated back. This is a natural effect but as more greenhouse gasses are put out by humans through the burning of fossil fuels and clear cutting forest the higher the temperatures will rise in the future. This effect known as global warming mostly caused by human effects has experienced a major growth. Our actions are affecting ecosystems worldwide by emission of carbon dioxide and clear …show more content…
Forests are crucial for a healthy climate because they do a process known as photosynthesis. Photosynthesis is a process only done by plants, the formula for photosynthesis is the input of carbon dioxide, water, and light energy, for a product of glucose, water, and oxygen. By cutting down these forests we are slowing down the natural process of photosynthesis and increasing carbon dioxide concentration in the atmosphere. Land developments are being created in these areas such developments include factories, homes, and roads for vehicles which emit carbon dioxide. The slowing of photosynthesis by clear cutting forests and the additional carbon being emitted by machinery to make land developments makes the situation worse. With not as many trees to consume the carbon dioxide and higher amount of heat being trapped by this carbon dioxide ecosystems worldwide are being …show more content…
While computers used to predict future climate with human effects show a correct prediction of climate changes during the past half century (Cook 2016) This leads to the conclusion that natural changes have not been occurring rather our human effects have caused a drastic change on the climate. Scientists have also observed that the boundary between atmospheric layers has expanded. The boundary between the troposphere and the stratosphere has expanded due to heat trapping gasses (Carbon Dioxide) which build up in between these atmospheric layers. As these trap the heat that is destined to go out into space the atmospheric layer boundary expands as it heats up(UOC 2016) Another claim by many people is the fact that if global warming is truly occurring by human effects why are snow storms more violent. This is caused by the simple fact that water evaporates, evaporation in the ocean increases because of the hotter temperatures the condensed water moves through wind currents and we get heavy snowstorms occurring because of global
