Globalization means that the entire world and all of the economies of every nation are becoming connected to each other (Carl 2013:246). Globalization gives the United States more trade opportunities and access to cheap labor. It also means that when another nation has economic problems we do as well. I remember reading an article during the recession that said that the economies of the world have become so connected to each other that the collapse of the United States’ economy would literally cause a domino effect. I am not sure that the collapse of a wealthier countries economy would take everyone else’s down, but it would definitely cause a lot of damage. Globalization may also be creating some of the stratification and unemployment issues
