The rate of rising temperatures and ocean levels in the world are increasing drastically to where it is very alarming. Many do not realize the frequent occurrences of natural disasters and pollution are affecting us all, especially humans. Global Warming is a big issue that is impossible to stop but, can be slowed by changing harmful human activities such as, people cutting trees and driving gas vehicles along with making sure everyone in the world is aware of this growing problem. “The issue is complex because global warming causes a series of effects that, in turn, further affect climate change. For example, more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere could increase plant growth. In turn, living green plants pull carbon dioxide out of the air. Also, as Earth rotates, so do the heat and moisture in the atmosphere, changing rain patterns over the entire planet” (Farrar 45).
Global Warming is the climate change that increases floods and droughts which can occur throughout the world. Mainly because of melted glaciers, and ice caps that is caused by the increasing rate of carbon dioxide that is being produced. According to James Payne “Temperatures will continue to rise over the next century and impact climate.” (266). “Since 1895, the media has alternated between global cooling and warming scares during four separate and sometimes overlapping time periods.
