Earth is a very delicate planet and it is at the mercy of humans. Humans have been causing disruptions in the Earth’s atmosphere for far too long now and it is time to finally make a change. Global warming has been a huge debate for a long time, but now it is time to realize that it is real, and it can destroy many living things on this planet, including us. This memo is to show the problems and some ideas for improvements to help the environment. What are the problems? One huge issue is global warming, which is caused by chemicals building up in our atmosphere that hold heat on earth, rather than going further up into the atmosphere. One huge chemical creating this issue is CO2. These gases are being emitted by humans at an alarming rate. These gases get released into the atmosphere and are known for slowing the rate of heat loss into the atmosphere, which causes global warming. These gases are mainly getting released from humans using fossil fuels. These fuels are released by using gas powered cars or even using a gas powered heater or air conditioner. With the continued chemical emissions rates, the temperature on earth could increase 4-8 degrees over the next 100 years. This could create serious implications for the world. One example would be the flooding of many states and countries. Greenland has an ice glacier that, if it melts, would create a water rise of around 20 meters, which would flood all of Florida.
