Scientists have spent decades in search for the causes of global warming. Over the years, they have learned that global warming is due to the earth’s surface temperature. The earth’s surface temperature increases because greenhouse gases collect in the atmosphere. Ultimately, creating a shell around the earth that thickens, keeping in the sun’s deadly heat, causing the planet to heat up. In fact, there is more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere today than at any point in the last 800,000 years. President Obama has addressed climate change, stating, “There’s one issue that will define the contours of this century more dramatically than any other, and that is the urgent threat of a changing climate.” Global warming can lead to world destruction if changes are not made. The uses of greenhouses must be eliminated if no alternate solutions are made. Arguments about global warming point back to Svante Arrthenius, a Swedish Scientist, who first claimed that fossil fuel combustion will eventually lead to global warming. In 1987, it was a thought that human influences were not as important as natural forces. Natural forces like solar activities and ocean circulation. In actuality, the ocean contained infrared radiation the more carbon dioxide the plant has. Infrared radiation would fill the planet’s empty space, warming the earth even more. Despite the effects on the earth. Greenhouses have a purpose. Greenhouses are often used for growing vegetables, flowers, and a variety of crops…
