Exercising is one of the best things someone could do to improve their health. It is common knowledge today that most Americans suffer from obesity. Americans that suffer from obesity tend to not only eat terribly but they also do not engage in any kind of physical activity. Any kind of physical activity helps but doctors recommend at least an hour of physical activity each day to improve your health in many ways. Exercising has many benefits. Exercise not only improves your physical, but mental health as well! Did you know, exercising not only maintains or decreases your weight but it also improves your mood? Exercising helps improve your mood because when your brain realizes it is conducting physical activity it begins to release dopamine. Dopamine is a chemical found in the brain. When dopamine is secreted it produces feelings of happiness, which makes sense since dopamine is often linked to feelings of happiness and pleasure. Since dopamine is being secreted not only will you feel happy you will also begin to feel less tense and stress levels will fall dramatically. Not only does exercising increase …show more content…
You can exercise in ways that are often overlooked. Going shopping with a friend? You can exercise in the store! Instead of taking a leisurely stroll in the store, pick up your pace a little. Walking briskly will increase your heart rate. Increasing your heart rate will help fight fat, boost your metabolism and you will also receive all the other benefits of exercising all while shopping with a friend. If you have a pet you can also exercise with your furry companion. Instead of walking to the park alone, bring your furry friend with you. Both you and your companion will enjoy the many benefits of staying healthy by exercising! Exercising does not have to be completed alone, it is entirely personal preference as to who you include in your new daily
