The whole goal of exercise is to increase the heart and breathing rate of an individual, meaning that for MI one should not be able to sing, but they may be able to talk albeit in only short sentences. On the other hand, if one has a breathing rate that is very rapid and they are unable to speak more than a few words at once, then the activity they are performing would be considered at a VI level. For instance, one could walk a mile in seventeen minutes and that would be considered brisk walking, a MI exercise, or one could walk a twelve minute mile, known as fast walking, which is a VI exercise. While the afore mentioned activities themselves a good way to lower the risk of cancer, one would benefit even more if they also included strengthening activities of the muscles at least two days of the week in their exercise regime.
