I think childlessness is not a concern to our society, as of right now this country is over populated. I strongly believe that not everyone is emotionally, and physically stable to support a child and there should be no obligation to have children. Not only for the steady income, but for the well-being of the mother. During my Grandmas childhood her mother was a stay-at-home-mom. She told me that her mother would always be cleaning, doing laundry, and preparing supper for when her father would arrive home. She stated. “Society has given many important reasons to have mothers out working if they so choose too.” An extra paycheck every two weeks is nice when you are raising children. According to research by Kathleen Mcginn, “Women whose moms worked outside the home are more likely to have jobs themselves, are more likely to hold supervisory responsibility at those jobs, and earn higher wages than women whose mothers stayed home full time.” I think there are many stereo types out there about mothers needing to stay home for the kids, but we need to take into consideration women need to do what is best for themselves
