Poverty is a well-known economical problem that leads to many other problems around the world. The definition of poverty is the state of being extremely poor, with this being said who would even want to be in the predicament. This situation is not a very good place to be in life because it keeps them away from multiple things. Such as goals that can be achieved or even bought in life. These effects can change a person better yet the whole family by this meaning it also affect the children in the household. Poverty stricken children are more apt to have developmental problems than children whom were born in a well of financial family.

As stated in this article “Child poverty has gradually become more and more important aspect of public policy discussions.” (Chen) Usually the children in poverty parents can’t afford the nice clothes and notebooks and other supplies that others can. This causes the ones that have it to see them as different and children are mean and pick and point it out to everyone.
