Adults aren 't the only ones who are affected by poverty. Children are affected in ways that aren 't seen by everyone. Every day a child goes to school they have to live with the fact that their family is struggling. Children are smarter than what adults think and they know when they are different than the majority of their classmates. From the clothes they wear to the food they eat, children know. Most children who have lived in poverty their whole life know no different, the ones who came from always having everything and anything that they wanted are the ones who struggle the most. At first they don 't understand but as time goes on they have to adapt to their new lifestyle. All these emotions can break a child. The child then can become …show more content…
There is the drive cam, which monitors the activity of a teen driver and provides video feedback as it’s happening to parents. Also, there is an app from AT&T that is compatible with smartphones that doesn 't let text messages or calls come through while a teen or adult is driving. People can also sign a text-free-driving pledge which doesn 't make a driver not text and drive but makes them feel like they broke a promise if they do text and drive. (“Texting and Driving Statistics”, 2015). An alternative to texting and driving could be to get a system put into your car that makes calls go through your radio, making talking hands free. By recycling we can insure that harmful containers don 't pollute our rainforests. Buying American woods that are used to make furniture and flooring are better choices than buying tropical woods that came from a rainforest. As Americans we could eat less meats that were raised in tropical places where rainforests used to stand. Another way that we can help is by donating money to charities that are helping to protect rainforests. By supporting the people who live in rainforests, people are letting them know that they care as well. I can say that 1 out of every 4 car accidents are caused by texting while driving.
