Our Society is saturated with technology, which consist of box office movies, commercials, news, phones, tablets, and never-ending notifications on our Facebook, Instagram, and numerous other forms of social media. One particular invention that eternally altered humanity is the cell phone. With a tap of a finger, an individual can communicate with people across the world, post their favorite selfies to fuel their ego and Google whatever their heart desires. Cell phones have become a necessity to function in our active society, without it people feel disconnected. There are countless benefits to having such a device in your hand, but there are downfalls as well. One can become so distracted by their phone that they devalue communication in relationships, are unaware of their environment, and are not being effective in the workforce, which proves that cell phones has become a diversion in our culture. All these are just a few of the endless issues phones have placed on people.

For instance, when out with a friend, husband, wife, or family member, put the phone away. A creative way of ensuring the phone is put away, is to places phones on the table, screen down and if an person chooses to pick the phone up while out at a restaurant, they have to pay for the meal. People should try to establish adequate time with those they care for without having the phone in their hands while spending time with each other. Quality time spent with someone that is important to a person, should delete distractions and focus their attention to the person they are
