Bullying and harassment can take on many different forms. Across America, there are small children in glasses being pushed down by those bigger than them on playgrounds. There are scrawny teenagers getting thrown up against the lockers in their high schools by adolescents in letterman jackets with anger issues. Women in nice outfits, or even regular clothing like jeans and a tshirt, constantly hear inappropriate and annoying things on the street from men, such as “Hey baby,” “Nice legs,” or “You're so pretty, why don't you smile more?” Teenage girls have mascara running down their faces from crying over subtweets they see about themselves on twitter. Bullying or harassment can be both verbal and physical. Bullying can even be technological.

My proposal is that when a person takes part in bullying in any capacity, they are sent to one of many asylums on a remote island. At these asylums, they are given electric shock therapy. This electric shock therapy is going to be used to change these bullies’ mindsets by making them become a better person. They will be conditioned to not judge others so harshly and to be more kind to others that are smaller or different than they are. After their intense therapy, they must undergo a series of tests to make sure they are truly a better person now. They must make at least an eighty percent on this test to leave the asylum. If they make an eighty or higher, they leave the asylum and are sent to another living facility where they are still being trained to be better people with a less violent approach. After this training, they take another round of tests and once the bullies make a grade of one hundred percent, they are sent back home to live their lives as a new person. This is the best way to solve the bullying problem afflicting America. Clearly, my proposal is guaranteed to purge the country, and soon the world, of these tyrants and …show more content…

Schools try to combat bullying by giving kids detention or suspending them. Do these techniques ever make the bullies stop hurting others? No, they do not.
