Essay On Cycle Of Sleep

You’ve had a very long day and a good cocktail is all you need. Yes, alcohol puts you in a relaxed state of mind, but it’s only temporary. Alcohol can help you get to sleep faster, but it may impact the length of your sleep. Alcohol intensifies deep sleep or the third cycle sleep during the first half of the night, but then increases sleep disruptions in the second half of the of night.
As mentioned earlier, REM is the cycle of sleep that causes dreams and develops memories. A large amount of alcohol content in your body can disrupt REM sleep, which is much easier to wake up from. That 's why you often wake up after just a few hours sleep after you have consumed alcohol.
That’s not all, consuming a large amount of alcohol before bedtime will allow you to wake up in the middle night to use the bathroom. Alcohol is a diuretic, which causes you to lose water. As a diuretic,

Having comfortable, cool bedding is just as important as the alternative options we’ve mentioned in this guide. A lot of people take their bed sheets seriously as they should! Sleeping for 8 hours in rough, itchy, sweaty sheets is not how you can get a good night rest!
When purchasing a quality sheet set, most people start with a sheets thread count as a deciding factor. Is a high thread count important? Not necessarily. A thread count is the number of threads woven into a square inch of fabric and it can only take so much. You may think that a sheet set with a 1,000 thread count is more luxurious than a sheet set with a count of 300, but a very high thread count makes for a rigid sheet and blocks air from flowing in. The recommended thread count is between 300 and 800. ¬¬¬
You spend a good amount of time wrapped up in your bedding, it’s only right that you sleep in fabric that your skin will adore.
TIP! A higher thread count doesn’t always mean better!
Another deciding factor when purchasing sheets is choosing the right material to sleep

To Be a Slob or Not to Be While some people still hold to the fact that working one’s hardest and not appearing to seem lazy is in one’s best interest, others may try to explain how making the minimum effort of doing things can have greater perks than trying to do the best of one’s ability. In this case, Andy Simmons, the author of the article “I’m a Slob, and You Should Be One Too”, fails to deliver an effective article that suggests being a slob is a good thing and negatively encourages others to join his stance. Andy Simmons’s claim that being a slob results in benefits is flawed because making up one’s bed can develop valuable habits, having a cluttered desk can lead to anxiety, and doing nothing instead of being active can have negative…

Gone are the days when people used hot water bottles or warmed bricks to help add warmth to the bed, especially during those winter months. Owing to technology, it is very easy to cover your bed with bed sheets and turn on your electric mattress pad for that much requisite warmth. An electric mattress pad is the opposite of an electric blanket in that the blanket typically provides heat above the body whilst an electric mattress pad provides heat beneath the body. Some people who tend to feel extremely cold all night long leave the electric mattress pad on all night while others simply preheat the bed before jumping in.…

Dog Bedding: From Blankets To Canopy Beds By Andrew Murray Aug 19, 2010 There are dog beds, and then there is what would probably be more properly called dog bedding. Bedding would be not just the accessories like blankets and throws, but also beds that change shape, sometimes behaving almost like blankets, and sometimes resembling real discernible beds. Dogs are often content to sleep wherever they feel comfortable, whether it's at the foot of your own bed, on the couch, or on a layer of several towels in the corner. But if you are their human friend, then you may enjoy getting them one of the quality dog beds and then adding various accessories, including special bedding, for them.…

When people sleep, their body rests and restores its energy levels. A good night sleep means to help you cope with stress, solve problems, or recover from illness. “Sleep is prompted by natural cycles of activity in the brain and consists of two basic states: rapid eye movement (REM) sleep and non-rapid eye movement sleep, which consists of Stages 1 through 4. During sleep, the body cycles between non-REM and REM sleep. Typically, people begin the sleep cycle with a period of non-REM sleep followed by a very short period of REM sleep.”…

Why should I pick silk bedding over the regular cotton bedding? Cotton is a widely used fabric for bedding. Cotton, when chosen consciously such as organic cotton with high thread count is also considered one of the premium bedding fabrics. However, the regular cotton with less thread count being coarse would not count as the best bedding fabrics resulting in poor sleep. And this rough texture from poorly weaved cotton fabrics leads to hair & Skin damage.…
