Air pollution has increasingly harmful effects to our agriculture, environment, and even human health. Air pollution can negatively affect human health and can create severe conditions for human beings. Anyone exposed to air pollution is at risk for severe heart and respiratory conditions, along with cancer, pneumonia, and asthma. Air pollution can also potentially cause climate change, which can cause natural disasters. Natural disasters can cause many injuries and debt for human beings. “Carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gas pollution leads to more frequent and intense heat waves that increase mortality, especially among the poor and elderly” (Overview). This shows how much climate change has had an immediate effect on our living population. Agriculture can be damaged by air pollution as well. Without air pollution, climate change wouldn’t be much of a problem. Climate change creates natural disasters, causes the sea levels to rise, and causes weather problems regarding our forests. Weather conditions like drought takes a huge toll on our agriculture. This includes our forests beginning to disappear. Without our forests, we lose species of plants and animals necessary for survival. As the carbon dioxide levels begin to rise, global warming occurs. Global warming is expected to reduce our crop yields, taking a toll on our agriculture and wealth that comes from it. The environment as a whole is in significant danger due to air pollution.
