Prior to the 9/11 attacks, terrorism, internal or external groups, for the most part was unknown to Americans. Terrorism existed, but Americans were not really aware until we was blindsided by the attack on the World Trade Center and the others attacks that happened on 9/11. We as Americans were frightened at what happen and terrified at what was to come. The public’s perception after the attacks on 9/11, was pure chaos and uncertainty. The killing of so many people unexpectedly, that it rearranged government agencies, and changed how we do security in this country. The attacks on 9/11 were considered an external attack. The terrorist attack came was planned by Osama Bin Laden and carried out by was Al-Qaida members and funded outside the United
