How To Change School Lunches

School lunches are making an effect on students and unfortunately not a good one, this has to change and I know the perfect way to change it. I have gone to school now for about 12 years, and in those years I have come to an agreement that school lunches need to be improved. I remember wanting to go to lunch in 8th grade because the food was tasteful and pleasant, although now I realize it lacked an important aspect, the food having any nutritional value. As I got older I started to dislike the food that was given at school and I would dismiss the idea of lining up for lunch because I knew the food wasn’t going to be good. At first it may seem as if nothing is changing, but we have to be patient because change does not happen over night. There has to be motivation and faith because I believe Corcoran High School could be a very healthy school if you were to follow my ideas and plans. The school is the perfect place where students can learn and if there are students in a place for 8 hours a day might as well take the advantage of that. It is the little things that go a big way, once the students start realizing how good healthy food is helping them in their life, they will thank the school for helping them. Obesity is a very powerful and deadly thing we cannot let it get further than it is already. The school has to put this into action very soon because obesity will not go away by itself. If people want to help others and influence them to be healthy, then you have to start changing your life style yourself. It will take time, but time is all we have and it is enough to do something against this obesity epidemic. It is stated that about a third of kids and teens are overweight or obese in United Sates and this shows up in the news article “The effects of Children Eating Unhealthy School Lunches.” Corcoran High School needs to be aware of how much their school lunches are hurting the students both mentally and physically. Without a good meal students aren’t able to perform their best, so its best for Corcoran High School to serve foods that are nourishment and have great nutrition
