African Americans have started to rebel against the system because they are tired of being mistreated. They are taking a stand against police brutality. It seems as though it all started with the very public killing of Trayvon Martin in Sanford, FL. However, in fact, this type of killing has been occurring behind the scene. Cell phone recording and social media has made the brutality more visible for the world to see. Too often an innocent individual is shot and killed by the police. Over the last 4 years, a total of 1,000 people has been killed by a police officer.
