New and better information technology entails that banks can add the service ‘differentiator’ to their products in a way. Information technology plays an important role yet not at all the deposit money banks seem to embrace it. Manual banking operation involves human beings that use brainpower and manual desk entry with tools like calculator and adding machines. This has a lot of limitation, one of such is time wastage, especially when a large volume of work is involved. However, what is the significant effect caused by information technology as it relates to the industrial and information age banking organisation? How has information technology affected the operations and customers satisfaction of deposit money banks in Nigeria ? And why are some deposit money banks yet to embrace the all important concept?

1.3 OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDY:
Below are the objective of this study. 1. To ascertain how delivery time can be reduced through information technology and satisfaction given to customers. 2. To ascertain how information technology has effected on the performance of deposit money banks in Nigeria . 3. To determine how information technology has effected on the operation of deposit money banks in Nigeria .

1.4 RESEARCH QUESTIONS:
