The two facilities that Goldstein worked with were in Brooklyn; they were the Brownsville Neighborhood Community Youth Action Center and Youth D.A.R.E.S (dynamic alternatives for rehabilitation through educational services) (Goldstein, 11). Focusing on members in the same gang Goldstein conducted three 4-month sequences of ART” to the gang members, with 6 gangs attending the ART program, and 6 gangs only receiving the education from the center in which they were” (Goldstein, 11). The percentages may not be as high as some other intervention programs, such as GREAT, but the results are still positive.
