A comprehensive study was taken up to review the literature and analyzed the results from different authors on various aspects of birds. Birds which are a short distance and long distance migratory birds were affected by the climatic changes and further on in their reproductive stages. The impact of NAO and ENSO were studied for particular species for their survival. Studies have been conducted by compiling data over 10 to 150 years to observe any changes in their arrival data with temperature. Populations of birds have declined due to lack of adjustment of phenology. Studies have shown that later breeding dates and lower return rates have shown to affect the health condition of the subsequent population of birds. Loss of habitat is one of the reasons for the lack of distribution of species and also poor condition of birds with low fat and pectoral muscles. Species such as bumble bee have homogenized population as the move from low gradient to higher gradient for their survival. Bird diversity and abundance was affected by vegetation coverage. The upland bird populations were extensively studied for their sensitivity and indicate that juvenile stage is most affected by the change in temperature.
