The Education of China

The education is care about a country’s future. No matter what, a country should have a strong educational system. The reason why is that it can make people knowledgeable. When people have abundant knowledge, the nation will be powerful. If any country doesn’t attach importance to education, this country is going to fall behind. History China has a 5,000-year-old culture. From the start, the Chinese paid attention to education. Confucius was an educator and philosopher. 2,000 years ago, Confucius established the private school system for the Chinese. During the feudal age, education helped the people to become officers. The imperial examination system allowed the government to select people with talents. The imperial examination system existed from 581-618 until 1905. In 1912, government reformed the educational system. In November 1949, the Chinese government established the Central People’s Government Ministry of Education. Education started a new development. From 1949 to 1966, China built up preschool education, middle schools, high schools, and universities. China had a very famous political event called the Cultural Revolution. The Cultural Revolution started in 1966. Mao Zedong lead this political movement. The Cultural Revolution resulted in intellectual persecution, suspend classes, and the dismantling of the scientific research institution. Teachers were arrested and sent to jail.
