Usefulness: this source was useful as it aimed to show how people felt towards the government and the need for the government to work at using the World Cup as a reference to the apartheid struggle and what the people that died in the struggle fought for achieving. This source also aimed to express the need for SA to heal from the wounds of Apartheid by using the World Cup so this source showed the opinions of South Africans towards the governments before the world cup.
Validity: This source was valid as it was in 2010 just before the world cup so it relates well with the time frame being looked at. The source was from an SA point of view. This source is discussing the world cup. But this source didn’t seem to give any evidence to back up its claims in the form of stats or surveys which questions the validity of the source.
Reliability: This source does not come from a university professor but the author is still quite a specialist or has some reputability as he is the Coordinator of the National Welfare Forum and GCAP-SA
