Grace Mullhatten George W. Bush was arguably one of the worst presidents the United States has ever known. He lived a lavish childhood and had even more wealth as an adult. George had wonderful schooling in addition to his childhood wealth, and gained even more riches from his oil business as an adult before his presidency. The only hiccup he received during his presidential term was the 9/11 attacks, which he handled poorly by starting a full-on war. He will be remembered throughout American history as the man that had no clue what he was doing with our country. Bush’s childhood, he experienced many luxuries as the son of an American president (Barber 62-63). He was born in 1946, in Midland Texas to George Bush Sr. and Barbara Bush (Barber 62-63). His boyhood home included a swimming pool and a private baseball field for him to play on (Wheeler 5-35). He and his friends enjoyed destroying personal property as a leisurely activity instead of being productive members of society (Wheeler 5-35). They stole Christmas wreaths off of their nearby neighbor’s doors and broke goal posts at local schools (Wheeler 5-35). He even went as far as insulting African Americans as a child, which thankfully, his mother did not tolerate (Wheeler 5-35). He earned his Pilot’s Wings in 1969 (Wheeler 5-35). George even worked in agribusiness for some time before quitting (Wheeler 5-35). Shortly after quitting the agribusiness, he bought an oil business (Minutaglio 722-724). He barely broke even when he sold his oil business in 1986, and it is rumored that he could only sell it due to being the son of the president (History.com). George Bush has a large family (Minutaglio 722-724). His mother is Barbara Pierce-Bush and his father is George Herbert Walker Bush (Minutaglio 722-724). His siblings include Pauline (Robin) Robinson, John (Jeb) Bush, Neil Bush, Marvin Bush, and Dorothy Bush (Minutaglio 722-724).
George was married to Laura Welch on November 5, 1977 (Minutaglio 722-724). He had been engaged once before but it didn’t quite work out for him, seeing as the engagement ended shortly (Wheeler 5-35).
