There were numerous key decisions that Harary, Rabie and Varadi faced throughout their initial startup company. First being, the introduction of their new product, “The Earth Buddy” to the market. Since the embodiment of their product was an environmental orientation, they saw the perfect opportunity to partner with Roots Canada to promote this urban adventurer image and to reach out to the right consumers. As a result of The Earth Buddy’s major success, K-Mart soon placed an order for 500,000 units. This lead to the creator’s second key decision, which was to expand their toy production from Harary’s Kitchen to a factory staffed by 200 employees.
