I was previously the video editor for the school newspaper "The Buchtelite" which is how I actually received an opportunity with this brand new student-based initiative. Sophomore Rachel Napoliello is a chemistry major from the greatest state of all: New Jersey. Embarrassingly enough, there is a strong possibility that she chose to apply to Tufts so she could join TUTV (look at her “Why Tufts?” essay for evidence). My most meaningful involvement in a student organization was when I was in Gator EMS (Emergency Medical Service). In this organization, all the members were required to have an EMR (Emergency Medical Responder) certification and used the certification to volunteer at sporting events such as swimming meets and 5k runs held at my undergraduate university. While working toward my certification, I acquired knowledge and skills necessary for the assisting people in emergency situations. Gator EMS provided a sense of community and camaraderie that I was able to translate into my volunteering.
