The Duty Fulfiller – The Inspector (Introversion, Sensing, Thinking, Judging). “Introverted”, initially hearing the word in the title, I naturally cringed at the thought. Acknowledging that although I often keep to myself, and enjoy the sound of quietness, it does raise the question, is this somehow a bad thing? Overwhelmingly compelled to further investigate the facts involved. Apparent to me, was the reading of Carl G. Jung, statement, as it encapsulates one view he shared about Personality Types. He expresses “Everyone is individual and unique the personality types are not strict classifications, but stereotypes akin to landmarks on a map. Just as few landmarks can help you find many unique locations, so too the personality stereotypes …show more content…
Through self-observation I internalize the timeliness tag; “it is imperative to need to be 10 to 15 minutes prior to the start”. One of the first things I learned during initial entry training was, Murphy has a vote, mitigate the risk of being late by being early, this has stuck with my throughout my years. Much more preferred is to perform tasks myself, as I am sure I can depend on me to accomplish the duty or assignment delivered. For the longest of time, my vision has been, with God’s grace I have the ability to complete any task, given, as long as I have the adequate amount of notification. Understanding yourself and the personality types both you have and others around you is refreshing. Better understanding the ITSJ personality type is instrumental in learning the most important factor of this assignment. How my personality type affects not only myself but also others, moreover the assignment was an important introduction to Organizational Behavior. This assignment is the beginning to understanding yourself and envisioning ways to improve or enhance shortfalls. My favorite actor Mr. Robert De Niro is an ISTJ personality type. From his work you see the loyalty to the craft and the commitment to get it right. You are able to conclude that the right mixture has helped him sustained success. James the brother of Jesus as I have learned through scripture. James 2:18 (KJV) “But someone will say, you have faith and I have works. Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works”. The faith it takes to evolve do a paradigm shift is made often. Taking the first step will take both work and faith.
