From pages fourteen to twenty-one, Ove hears a massive screech across his house. He opens the curtains to see that a trailer has slid across his house. He walks outside to see there is a pregnant woman and a tall blonde man who was driving the car. They are foreigners and drive a foreign Japanese car. There is a trailer hooked up to the back of it because they are just moving in. He is in Ove’s flowerbed and Ove is very angry about the man teasing him for not having any flowers in his flowerbed. Ove then proceeds to get in their car, and back the trailer right into their driveway without much hassle. This, in my mind really made me picture Harry Potter at the Dursleys. They are huge curmudgeons and always point out the worst in people and things.
