Duality in psychology is important for our lives as it is a ‘twofold’ division. There can be two separate and independent forces or ways in order to think but at the end of the day both are equal, and have the same logical reasoning behind it. Despite the ultimate goals being similar, they can also be distinctly different.
The theme of duality carries on into our lives. At the end of the day every action, or step forward we take is uncertain. Uncertainty is driven by growth. When our brains discover something new, we are quick to react. This is character flaw. However sometimes character is not to blame, because the unexpected surprises of life also provide value. Ultimately, life’s uncertainty was also seen through characters in the story. Mercutio and Friar Laurence provided an insight into the upcoming uncertainty of the story and the details that would once later become relevant in the play to show the greater significance.
