The Drinking Of Alcoholic Beverages Essay
A. Discuss for suggestions that promote the responsible drinking of alcoholic beverages.
There are multiple suggestions to promote a responsible drinking of alcoholic beverages. According to Levinthal (2014), an overwhelming proportion of the population drinks on occasion, enjoy the experiences, but have never engage in any violent or aggressive acts. People who never engage in violent or aggressive acts drink in moderate amounts, and avoid situations in which alcohol consumption would impair their performance and danger to others such as driving (Levinthal, 2014). Moreover, other suggestions that can promote a responsible drinking includes knowing your own limits, eating food while drinking, skipping a drink now and then, and sipping your drinks (Engs, 2001). Knowing your own limits of how many alcohol beverages you can drink before getting drunk can be very important to prevent you from getting drunk. Eating food while drinking can prevent or delay getting drunk because it helps to slow the absorption of alcohol into the circulatory system (Engs, 2001). Furthermore, skipping a drink now and then can keep the desired blood alcohol concentration. The last suggestion to promote a responsible drinking of alcoholic beverages is to sip your drinks and not to gulp them to have a fast effect. Sipping the drinks can help you keep the desired blood alcohol concentration and keep you conscious of all your acts (Engs, 2001).
