I believe that they was fueled by hatred and depression that the school put them through. They felt mistreated by others and thought they should be the ones treated like Gods. Eric’s psychopathic mind was the cause of him clicking, he even went to his journal to say, “'Isn't America supposed to be the land of the free? How come, if I'm free, I can't deprive a stupid f---ing dumbsh** from his possessions if he leaves them sitting in the front seat of his f---ing van out in plain sight and in the middle of f---ing nowhere on a Frif---ingday night. Eric was the one with the mind of a killer and the mind of how to have a killing spree. To me, Eric was the leader and Dylan was the follower for many reasons.
