This economic and political source ‘The Doubling room” was to show how factory owners treated their workers. The workers were children. As the Industrial Revolution accumulated pace, many of factories were built throughout Britain. There were no rules or laws that related to the running of factories as there had been no desideratum for rules earlier on. This political, economic and social extract from a factory Inspectors report was to show the conditions that children worked and lived in, in the factories. This source limpidly tells the reader or as kenned as the ‘Lord’ in this case, what is transpiring inside the closed doors of the cotton industry. This source was engendered by one of the four factory inspectors.
Who created this source?
It was published by the British Parliament to make the people aware and of these terrible conditions. To commence work at six A.M and conclude work at four P.M on the following evening is appalling conditions. The author of this document seems quite bothered by this and would like to make a change in the factories.

This document was created to show the British parliament what was still happening inside the closed doors of the factories. Laws have been broken from the factory act issued in 1833. Such as:

The impact that this had on the period of history was that people wanted to start and endeavour to make a difference and avail the children. As we descry, the factory act first commenced in 1833 but this source was engendered in 1836. The hours have not transmuted for the boys mentioned in this source. This is when it mainly all started to change
