James Watson and Francis Crick are widely credited for the revelation of the Double Helix, however, their discovery would have been impossible, if it hadn’t been for English chemist, Rosalind Franklin. Born in London, England in July of 1920 to father Ellis Arthur Franklin and mother Muriel Frances Waley, Franklin was exceptional in school from an early age, and went to Norland Place School at the age of six. When she was nine, she went to Lindores School for Young Ladies.
