The truth is, there is very little of students who wants to do their work. That being said, an abundance of students will procrastinate and give up. In “The Dog ate my disk and other tales of woe” Prof. Carolyn Foster is entertaining the audience with her amusing point-of-view on the stories of excuses she has received in class. A decent amount of the excuses Prof. Carolyn Foster received; could have been realistic. For an example, In “my dog at my disk, and other tales of woe” The excuse “The dog ate my homework” can actually occur. Having any excuse; is extremely difficult to believe, but there is always a possibility. That being said, having all those students coming up with “excuses” could mean they are over-worked. …show more content…
Having teachers push you can be a positive reinforcement, but also can create a negative reaction. To elucidate, everyone is different when it comes to be homework. Some students need those “baby steps” to be able to face bigger challenges. Furthermore, having too much work in the beginning of a course; can be overwhelming. Teachers and students lack communication when it comes to school
