Doctrine of the Holy Spirit
What is the Doctrine of the Holy Spirit? The Holy Spirit is the third person of the trinity. In fact, the Holy Spirit has divine attributes, intelligent, possesses power, intercedes, and testifies, of the Son and He feels and can be vexed or grieved. He represents equal parts with God the Father and Jesus Christ, even though they are all one entity. He cleanses us from sin and gives us a new life. “We are living in the Age of the Spirit. The Old Testament period may be called the Age of the Father; the period covered by the Gospels, the Age of the Son; from Pentecost until the second advent of Christ, the Age of the Spirit” (“The Doctrine of the Holy Spirit.” The Doctrine of the Holy Spirit. N. p., n.d. Web. 30 Sept. 2016.).
We have to treat Him gently and with much respect and love because He can be wounded. The Holy Spirit is there to be our guide and will gently nudge us if we do wrong, however, it is up to the person whether to yield or just override Him. If we allow He will direct our paths in the correct direction, but we have to choose to go the way of His leading on a daily basis. Always treat Him gently and with much love and respect.“16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you” (John 14:16-17, KJV).
