Trust Trust is defined as putting one’ confidence in someone or something else. It is essential in our life. It is the hallmark of relationships, without which everything comes to nothing. The word trust discussed in the Creation Health Breakthrough book by Dr. Monica Reed speaks of the Divine Power. It allows us to go through the uncertainties of life with the guarantee that we are directed to a definitive purpose. Personally, I believe that putting trust in the Divine Power is the keystone to a happy and healthy life. I have been raised in a strong religious Catholic background. My grandparents and parents on both sides of the family had been an active member of our communities and had served several ministries in our parish. Then, …show more content…
We were tasked to read a verse in a bible by randomly opening a page and that moment, I flipped through the pages and it exposed Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. That was a powerful message to me. Since then, in every activity and decisions that I faced in my younger years until now I have given my trust to the Lord. But as we live through the tides of life, we realize it is not all perfect. I personally had a moment when I felt that the world was literally crushing on me to a certain point that I wanted to end life to relieve myself of the pain. It was a scary thought on my end, especially that I have three small children who are still in need of my care. At that instant, I literally went down on my knees and surrendered all my concerns and struggles to Him. I was communicating to Him like that of a parent to a child and in that silence, a verse in the Bible kept playing on my mind. It was Proverbs 3:5-6! I believe that in that particular tumultuous moment that I had to encounter, though it was the hardest one I have …show more content…
I remember moving out to a new place during my final year in elementary. It was tough being the new kid in school. I was the odd man out in the campus. The Alien. The Outsider. People stared at me mockingly and I became the object of their taunts. However, it did not take long that I made some solid friendships and what was ironic of it all, these long term friendships I built was from the individuals who were making snide remarks at me during the early months of school. But it was not all a joyful ending for me, on my senior year, when I have already made a lot of friends and established my roots in the institution and the community as well, I was uprooted and moved to a much bigger city and got admitted to an exclusive school. It was even harder for me to recall the uneventful events in my earlier days but to be repeating it in a different scenario was a bit distressing I might say. However, thinking that I was the only transferee in the school, I was mistaken. There were several others who also moved on their senior year so we sort of bonded during the first months but later was able to blend in the school without a hitch. However, I must say that despite it being a crucial moment in one teenager’s life, I have not had made a lot of meaningful memories since it was only ten months. As I was preparing

There are various reasons as to why I’m deserving of the Etna-Dixmont School Scholarship. The most prevalent reason is my family history and connection with the town of Dixmont. My father and my grandparents moved to from Massachusetts to Dixmont, Maine when he was in second grade. My grandfather bought a house on Route 9 in Dixmont, and some other land in addition to that. The Dixmont Corner Church was built in 1835, and had an active one room school house next to it that was built in 1808.…

Moving schools away from all of my friends should’ve been an appalling experience, surprisingly, it was a blessing in disguise. I went to Agnes Baptist Elementary from kindergarten to 5th grade and I had friends that I've known since I was 3. I loved it there and knew the school like the back of my hand. Everything was superior, like most good things, though there were times where they weren’t, I was harassed by a bully almost everyday, my grades were getting inadequate, and my mom didn’t want me to be a sad, disconsolate 7th grader at a new junior high. In the result, I moved and I went to Savage Middle School, a school that had 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.…

With any organization, trust is a significant trait associated with leadership. Leaders cannot excel in leadership if the people they are trying to do not trust them. They learn of the employees’ dilemmas and make an attempt to solve them; however, it is trust that influences the employees to believe that their leader has the understanding required to resolve any problems (Frazier et al., 2015). Trust is an optimistic idea that others will act in an appropriate manner. Trust is to nurture; an applicable environment is needed (Hogler et al., 2015).…
