A person does not have to be transgender to feel harassment in public bathrooms. People who are pansexual, gay, lesbian, or bisexual will face harassment in public bathrooms because their sexual preference does not match what society expects. Some people may not have the support, or the money to fully go through transition in the moment, but they are still able to face sex discrimination in society. Lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender (LGBT) students may still feel attacked by their hetersexual countermate in public restrooms. The establishment of gender neutral bathrooms will provide students with a private place to go to without being judged, as well as a safe place to go to change for students enrolling in physical education in schools.
