As there were several cases where the Doctors themselves were at risk of being killed; the people did not really have the right to complain about any medical epidemic or problems that were going on. The only people who could were the leaders of the Third Reich. The Nazi Doctors showed clearly that a few doctors ended up killing themselves after the war because of what they did. “Wirths killed himself not as an act of conscience but because he couldn’t face the responsibility [of what he had done]” (Lifton 409). As ordered, Wirths had to do typhus experiments on the Auschwitz prisoners. This is something that is very unethical and malpractice of medicine. Wirths had no other choice but to do this because if he did not do it the Nazi would kill him and find someone else that would. The whole Wirths story was to show that he could not face the world while being judge for all these crime he had committed. “The Nazi Party targeted German youth as a special audience for its propaganda messages these messages emphasized that the Party was a movement of youth: dynamic, resilient, forward-looking, and hopeful”(ushmm.org). The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (ushmm) states that Hitler was targeting the youth to build a nationalist society for him to control. So in reality the general mass was brainwashed and ignorant of the medical issues that arose during experiments. So the government is hiding information from the public to make it so there will be less likely a cry for change and help to fix the medical issues. While USA has had many people rise up and state their issues and spread awareness to everyone when a medical problem arises. “Janelle made a commitment to help women around the world by educating them about breast cancer and the importance of early detection” (nationalbreastcancer.org). Taking breast cancer to account and how the National Brest Cancer Foundation (NBCF) was created to educate people about this issue and how we need to help fund research to help resolve this problem.
