In the spring of 1692, Reverend Samuel Parris was found his ten-year-old daughter, Betty, niece Abigail, slave Tituba and other girls dancing in the forest night before. Samuel Parris worried about his daughter because she cannot wake up. Someone already called Reverend John Hale, a witchcraft specialist. When John Hale starts to ask a girl who decides to do devil-worship, Abigail told him, that it was Tituba. In the same time, Putnam family came to Samuel Parris house because of their daughter also sick. Putnam sure witchcraft is the cause because they had many babies dying soon after birth. When John Hale came in, he started to ask Tituba about witchcraft and if she a devil. Under the high pressure, Tituba begins to say lie about witchcraft and devil. When John Hale said that Tituba is an instrument of god, Abigail starts to acting like she is want to go back to god and be his instrument too. John Hale ask Abigail if she saw any people with the devil, and when she begin to say names, Bella walked up, and she starts to say all these names too and all the girls have joined them. After Abigale and John 's proctor met, she told them that all this thing with witchcraft is not true, and they just lying. When Abigail start to say that she waits for him, John was tried to let her know that he doesn’t like her anymore, but at the same time, he was not sure about his feelings.
