This paper analyzes the conversion of contemporary interactive art through its intentions to influence youth culture with creative play, but ultimately sacrifices the deeper excruciation of art and its metaphorical representations for instead a tangible space. The author presents two main issues, the challenge of interactive art to educate and its challenge to interrelate. Through concrete examples he proposes the sensitivity of interactive mediums in a physical and emotional variable and audiences lack of understanding, due to this fact I believe this may be one of the most reliable sources. Within this, the author comments on societies lack of ability to “foster an understanding of the medium” and its interpretation. They present the dilemma of finding art that effects deviating age groups and their ability to comprehend and interpret the further meaning of art and suggests the mediating point in which interactive art can become knowledgeable for all. With clear reasons, cues and transitions between zones, the author believes interactive art should become an existential experience for all ages.
