The aim of this essay is to base it on the difficult obstacles which I have faced during my time as a student in higher education that is aspiring to be a future nurse. It will be discussing; good time management, childcare, distance, commitment, financial difficulties and the helped that I have received in order to help achieve my goal. I have decided to concentrate on these areas because they are some of my weaknesses/challenges that had occurred, being that I have to make sure my assignment, punctuality and attendance are up to great standards, as well as looking after my family.

I am a mother of five which means I’m constantly caring for my family as well as myself. The reason I applied for an adult nursing degree, in the University of West London, because I was persistently working towards conquering my dream of being an adult nurse and was determined to continue after all the rejection I have faced. Being a student in this university will then help me to achieve my goal which I why I am very lucky to have passed, as I am now a step closer to becoming what I have always wanted to be as I know this university would provide everything I need to becoming successful.
When I applied for an adult nursing course, I never imagined I would be offered a place as before (August 2015), after an interview, I found out through email that I wasn’t successful, therefore, had the same mind-set this year. Although I was not thinking 100% positively and did not get a place before, I was still very determined and committed to trying to get a place as this is my
