Socialization There are many ways that people view different terms and what they actually mean. Socialization is the action in which people inherit norms, values, and customs providing you with the skills needed for communicating and participating in society. When it comes to socialization many people can view it in all different ways whether it is talking to someone face to face, texting, emailing, writing letters, seeing people in person, talking over the phone, there is a million different ways we can socialize with people. People end up taking a life course through structural, social, and cultural contexts. When it comes to these three different ways it is mainly about how events influence your decisions in life and even how cultures can influence you differently. This can also relate to resocialization because many different cultures may not want you socializing with people outside of their religion or even marrying people with a different religion. As we know many people can be strict with this and with that being said you may have to not branch out to others, but stay close to who is apart of your culture. Many children from a very young age our brought up with their parents beliefs and whatever they want the children have to do. This is a rite of passage because it is an event that marks your life, which are the beliefs your parents want you to have since birth. This is one way of socializing because usually with certain religions even many people are faced with the same decisions to make them who they are today. Another thing is that with structure it is very important that you are taught to always interact with people at young ages because communication is key. With all of these they all have to do with socialization because they all play important roles in shaping us as humans. With family we are with them from when we are young and they are the most important. As infants we depends on our parents to teach us to function and care for ourselves. They always want to teach us how to bond with one another and the values and our morals. With school, this is supposed to teach us life skills such as following directions and instructions and making sure we always are following the rules. We also learn to obey authority and to also make sure that we are being taught how to socialize. Peers are also important because they teach us how to become close and interact with one another and also share common interests. When it comes to making friends it is important you share common interests because you can then interact by talking, playing games, going out to places, and bonding over everything you do. One more thing that is important is the media because we are constantly learning from that. We need to make sure that we follow the good ways in the world and to learn from the bad on what not to do and what can get you in trouble. The news shows us usually the goods and the bads, and we, as humans need to realize that by only being good, it will get us farthest in
