Different Types of Democracy Democracy is a system of political doctrine that favors intervention in the government of a state by appointing its leaders, falling sovereignty in the people, and taking as based concepts such as political equality of citizens before the law. Democracy also takes political rights and duties as universal suffrage, freedom of choice, and other freedoms. Often they accompany the establishment of a democratic state, ass press freedoms, detached, association, expression, assembly, etc. which are usually related liberties as integral parts of democracy to be implemented within a democratic state. On this type of democracy people exercises its sovereignty through officials who are choose though election or appointing candidates, they may be supported or be independent from a political party and the people delegate the power of decision in politics and their elected representatives, who exercise the sovereignty of the people resulting in the civil service and government leadership. Mixed or Semi-Direct Democracy is a combination of the above two types of democracy (direct democracy and representative democracy), although most of the government functions are delegated to elected officials (congress, president, etc.), there are several mechanisms by which the sovereign people have the ability to participate in government administration.
