I think that courage is important to the world. I think this because if the world didn’t have courage people wouldn’t be able to stand up for each other and share their ideas, because it takes courage to do that in front of people. there are many different types of Courage, like Emotional/intellectual courage, social moral and physical. Physical is when it's something like a firefighter and social moral is like standing up to your friends.
And emotional/intellectual like trying something new. Over the summer we read two courage books, and the books where “ Bridge To Terabithia” and “ Facing The Lion”. In this essay it will show all the different types of courage in different books.

I think that this book shows it how when Leslie dies he has to get a lot of courage to show Maybelle Terabithia and that is hard for him because Terabithia was just for jess and leslie and now leslie is dead so terabithia doesn’t feel magical without her. This book is about a kid named jess, and a girl named Leslie moves in down the road and they become friends they go to school together. They play together after school and then one day they find a magical place called Terabithia. In the place they build a castle, they are the king and queen of the land there. They go to this place a lot, It is kinda their “Secret base/fort.” one day when jess is away Leslie goes to Terabithia and she drowns. Jess is sad and angry, he thinks it's a dream. He builds a bridge and gets up enough courage to show his little sister. I think that the mane courage in this book is when leslie dies and Jess shows his sister Terabithia. I think that this is most important because I know that it was hard to give up Terabithia and to go back to that place, because leslie died

In the novel, Something Wicked this way comes, Jim and Will both show courageous acts, however the terms of courage differ. One moment when Will shows courage is when he confronts the Dust Witch. When the Dust Witch came in the balloon, Will decides to fight back with his archery kit instead of hiding. Even when the Bow shattered into pieces he “drew back and with all his strength threw the arrowhead” (p.151). Towards the end of the novel, Will continues to show courage.…

Three Concepts My first concept of courage, our book has many definitions of courage as well as categories but what I like how are book defines courage as being related to your heart, your mind and your thought. Maycomb, Alabama is a motionless community where life is still, those who are there, live there for generations, rarely did anyone move into or out of this quiet town. The town follows the 1930s stereotypical lifestyle where racial discrimination is clearly visible, as proven in the Tom Robinson court case. In this quiet town, the only thing that seems out of the ordinary is the Radley Place, from the outside, the house appears almost vacant with rarely any sound. The neighborhood children make horror stories about Boo Radley who never leaves his house, in fact, only Mr. Radley, Boo’s brother, occasionally comes out of the deserted house. In To Kill a Mockingbird, various events occur that shows the courage of the community.…

Courage is far more than bravery alone; it is the ability to persevere through any obstacle, it is a constant in our lives from learning to walk, to our first separation in school from our parents, to how we muster up the courage to ask for a raise at work and eventually even the courage to face our own mortality. The theme of the poem “Courage” by Anne Sexton is ultimately similar to the theme of courage found within To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee; as both handle how one copes with life along with the challenges of finding our way in the world and conquering the hardships that transpire in the process. The process of comforting oneself and letting time heal the pain is well-defined within the novel as well as within the verses of…
