Anguiano what she believed she had done as a leader that has impacted the organization the most, she replied with teamwork. As she spoke about the students on our campus she referred them as “our kids”. Albeit, she strongly mirrors servant leadership, she is an advocate of teamwork. Through the examples mentioned above describing empowerment, Mrs. Anguiano shares the leadership role with staff and parents. She is cognizant of the fact that one alone cannot run a school. As a school community we must work together to help a child succeed. As Mrs. Anguiano said, “It takes a village to raise a child”. For a team to experience success there must be a clear goal and shared vision. Effective leaders keep the team focused on the goal (Northouse, 2016). Being the leader that she is, she does exactly that. She motivates and encourages her team through support and data. Unceasingly, Mrs. Anguiano never tires to speak of our purpose as educators. Northouse states that the ability of a team to collaborate and work well together is essential to the team effectiveness (p. 370). Mrs. Anguiano has a strong foothold on giving the teachers the proper resources they need in order to be successful. Nothing is a better feeling to her than watching her teachers and students succeed as a team. She inspires her team with a positive outlook and never buying into
