Have you ever questioned why you’re the way you are? Have you ever wondered what makes each person unique from another? Every person is different; therefore, there is an abundance of different perspectives on life, itself. After 18 years, I have found these answers through certain life experiences. Through several different stages of my life, I’ve found answers that I would have never been able to predict. Furthermore, the treacherous journey of life events, I finally have an understanding on life, and what I expect in the future.
Childhood
My childhood brought myself some of my first memories, even though I don’t recall too many specific details, as my memory of such specific events has decayed. (p. 204) However, I did start to realize who I was and what separated the others from myself. I moved to DeWitt when I was 5, and quickly got enrolled in the DeWitt education system. Early adulthood brings many special privileges and opportunities, yet also provides one with great stress and high expectations. Considering the pros and cons, I have also found that I’m still changing daily. Turning 18 in August was quite the milestone, as many would agree. Coming with the privileges such as: no curfew, purchasing tobacco, being able to fight for your country, and being an official adult, among more. Only then, is when life actually gets tough. Constant stress, confused thinking patterns, figuring out your future, finding a job, and paying bills top the dreaded list of adulthood responsibilities. After weighing out the good and bad of such a glorious age, I have discovered life has stressed me out and gave me part depression. On the contrary, I have found working hard to beat these awry events very self-satisfying. Therefore, I’m glad these dilemmas have been present in my life because they have made me a stronger, wiser
