Work was never complex for Krishna Vrishni. Work was the means of life for him. He started working at the age of 18 at his family farm. He enjoyed this work because it was like a routine, it was easy. It required physical labor and waking up early. He would wake up at 6 AM and start off the day by milking the cows. This is the not the life he dreamed of or wanted. He would often say “my work is for my family, it’s not my identity, but my safe haven.” Krishna only worked to earn money for his family because of the lack of money. He was of lower class and wanted to show the world that he could climb the ladder. He was responsible for taking care of his brothers and sisters as he was the oldest. Krishna says that “work is needed to survive, if you don’t work, you don’t survive.” Krishna learned to grow corn, wheat and rice, which he would eventually sell for money.
