You should respect all those through the years who have gave their lives for our freedom and the right to maintain those rights we hold. Some of these players are taking this stand for the future of America and their children. Even high school players around the nation are taking a knee during the anthem prior to their games. Students are doing it in during the morning pledge of allegiance, in some states these students are being suspended for exercising this right, while other schools don’t mind as long as their protests is being held peacefully and carefully. Celebrities are even starting to add on to the protests “…for our planet, our future, our leaders of our world and the globe.” (Stevie Wonder). Other celebrities including Wonder want to see change in America’s beliefs. Some articles state that the protest doesn’t stand for disrespect but it is just a way to get attention of what is happening around the nation in everyone’s face. Others have interviewed veterans and citizens and asked for inputs. One man agrees with the protest but thinks that we shouldn’t have patriotism included in sporting events at all and that we should save the anthem for more appropriate civic events. It all comes down to what someone stands for at the end of the day. Regardless, America should all be trying to solve this problem together instead of being divided on who’s right
